Role: IT System Administrator 

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of IT Infrastructure 

Location: Nashville - Onsite

Salary Range: $90-95k + bonus 

 

Description:

The IT System Administrator role will be responsible for helping to build, manage and maintain the IT Systems for Southern Orthodontic Partners and our partner practices.  The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring that our IT Systems (both physical and virtual) is functional, secure, and performing at peak efficiency.  We are a fast-growing and fast paced organization, so this individual will need to be reliable and self-motivated with an ability to get tasks done on time with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions*:

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of our enterprise-wide IT infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the administration and development of multiple projects, tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools and report on progress of projects under your responsibility
  • Manage and monitor uptime of servers and application performance/testing as necessary at locations
  • Contribute to the development and administration of disaster recovery plans including the compliance and functionality of server backups
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software at locations as needed
  • Evaluate and modify applications/server performance
  • Determine system requirements when building servers
  • Maintain integrity of the server deployments, backup and security.
  • Provide world-class desktop support both desk-side and remotely (via phone and remote desktop access) in line with department procedures and SLA’s and coordinating support with local IT vendors when appropriate.
  • Identify, analyze, isolate, troubleshoot and provide detail resolutions of complex technical issues
  • Maintain a library of associated materials for all equipment, processes and procedures supported by the company

Essential Job Skills:

  • Extensive customer service experience is a must
  • Strong MS Office skills required
  • Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds
  • Maintain SQL Updates/Upgrades with guidance from LOB application vendors
  • Self-propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel as the job requires
  • Exceptional communicator, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Solid networking and system administration – Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls is required
  • Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies
  • Entra ID / Microsoft 365 Administration experience required
  • Experience implementing and managing an MDM solution required
  • Experience with network monitoring tools a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of infrastructure management and support experience
  • Approximately 25% travel (when needed)
