Description: 

We are creating a best-in-class organization and seeking a key marketing team member to join our quickly growing company. We are looking for a talented and motivated SEO Manager to execute our onsite, offsite, and technical SEO offerings. The SEO Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of our portfolio of orthodontic practices SEO campaigns—from auditing & onboarding to monthly content & technical execution—with modest supervision.

 

The SEO Manager will report directly to the Sr. Director of Growth Marketing who will assist with strategy and planning, as well as the resourcing of necessary tools/technology, but the SEO Manager should own quality and execution of all account work.

 

The successful candidate must possess excellent problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to self-motivate and effectively time-manage. The core functions of this role include conducting keyword research, performing technical audits, responsibility for backend site (WordPress) optimizations, researching, planning and implementing content recommendations for organic success, and tracking/reporting upon organic KPIs.

 

The SEO Manager will collaborate closely with the digital growth team and make strategic recommendations that suit our needs as well as implement best practices on websites. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to participate as a subject matter expert in both internal and client conversations—he/she should also have a personal commitment to great results and should strive to improve our clients’ organic search results in an ongoing capacity.

Key Responsibilties: 

  • Conduct website performance audits for both technical and content improvements; prepare and communicate audits to stakeholders in detailed reports
  • Perform initial and ongoing keyword research and tracking for all sites
  • Ensure websites are optimized and for appropriate keywords to continually gain search engine traffic
  • Plan and execute monthly SEO roadmaps detailing technical optimizations, content improvements, and offsite link building efforts
  • Troubleshoot web issues and issues related to SEO performance on sites
  • Continually strategize ways to improve and track site performance, sharing findings with the broader team
  • Ideate and execute controlled testing & innovation within organic search performance, ensuring structure exists around data measurement and presentation
  • Compile and present monthly SEO performance reports for every site
  • Consult with independent website developers to improve site function when necessary
  • Participate in monthly marketing team meetings and stay abreast of industry standards, news, and best practices in the SEO space
  • Manage all partners online listings through 3rd party platform
  • Work closely with website vendor for updates, projects, optimizations, etc.

Required Qualifications: 

A qualified candidate should be an accomplished marketing and customer engagement professional with the following minimum competencies: 

  • At least 5 years proven work experience delivering SEO campaigns that drive improved organic performance
  • Ability to direct a team of skilled content & SEO partners (through 3rd party tools such as Upwork & WriterAccess) 
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex SEO topics 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously when needed 
  • Experience with on-site technical SEO, local listings/reputation sites, SEO tools, content strategy development, and link building techniques. 
  • Robust experience with WordPress websites to make changes, SEO optimizations, and conduct troubleshooting 
  • Comfortable meeting with stakeholders & presenting a cohesive strategy 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with experience tying SEO initiatives directly to results 
  • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics 
  • Knowledge of HTML5 
  • Strong ability to switch between client projects quickly 
  • Experience with Google Data Studio reporting a plus
