As the face of our orthodontic practice’s brand your role is to fuel the passion and excitement for promoting the practice throughout the area.
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Relationship Manager to build and strengthen referral relationships with dental practices to drive patient referrals to our orthodontic practices.
This individual will be energetic, not easily deterred, and focused. They are not afraid to chase an opportunity. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, brand awareness, engagement, adoption, and great execution skills. This role is responsible for being the “boots on the ground” marketing lead who will drive leads into the orthodontic practice through B2B referral networks & relationships. You will be responsible for measuring ROI through B2B referrals, events, sponsorships and continuing to optimize field marketing activities.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Referral Marketing.
Key Job Functions*:
Relationship-Building:
- Call on dental providers who have patients who would benefit from orthodontic treatment and share what makes our practice(s) different.
- Understand the needs and preferences of various stakeholders at the practice and tailor your approach to meet those needs.
- Ensure a high level of satisfaction among referral partners, addressing any questions or concerns, and seek feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate internally with peers and practice team, including doctors and practice manager on areas of focus and opportunity
Referral Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive patient referrals to our orthodontic practices.
- Educate dental practices on the benefits and value proposition of our practices.
- Service and follow-up with dental referrers and implement steps to increase patient referrals.
- Meet with marketing leadership regularly to discuss area challenges, opportunities, outcomes, current and new marketing messages, and review current status.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Organize and participate in events, lunch and learns, and other activities to increase awareness and generate referrals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop tailored campaigns for your territory.
- Study and implement current and new sales/marketing initiatives based on practice developments, technology, and techniques.
- Maintain, create and distribute practice literature on orthodontic education to potential and current referral sources.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Organize and manage daily/weekly/monthly marketing schedule for achievement of monthly referral target numbers.
- Maintain, track, and meet assigned budget and measure ROI on spend.
- Track and analyze referral data and trends to measure the effectiveness of efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports on referral activities, relationship-building efforts, and results to manager, practice team, doctors, and operations.
- Use CRM software to manage contacts, schedule visits, and track referral progress.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
A qualified candidate should be an accomplished marketing and customer engagement professional with the following minimum competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing or relationship management, preferably in healthcare or dental industry
- Prior experience in business-to-business sales preferred
- Proven ability to impact business growth through sales and marketing efforts
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to multiple locations + surrounding areas as required
- Valid driver’s license
